Inchyra Blue No. 289 by Farrow & Ball is an aged dark blue-grey inspired by the dramatic Scottish skies surrounding Georgian Inchyra House. Seen on the exterior doors of its impressive byre (barn) at the foot of a grey, imposing brae, this colour has a naturally moody, heritage character.
Depending on the light, Inchyra Blue can read more grey, blue, or even green—making it rich, complex, and endlessly interesting. It’s a great alternative to charcoal when you want depth with a hint of colour, perfect for super contemporary interiors. For an even darker, more intimate feel, combine it with Black Blue or Vardo.
