The Pointed Sash Brush 2012 contains the Staalmeester® polyester mix: a combination of white natural Chungking bristles and synthetic bristles in the recognisable purple colour. The handle is made of FSC beech wood. The bristles are firmly secured in a copper-plated ferrule.
Staalmeester brushes have a cotton string wrapped around the base of the bristles. Do not remove this string.
Always treat the bristles of the brush with care and attention. Clean your brush on time and carefully and never let the paint dry in the brush. This way it retains its softness and elasticity. Should any paint dry on the bristles, soak brush overnight in a water/soap mixture. Water level should not submerge ferrule or cotton string.
Once brush is clean, massage a tiny bit of hair conditioner through the bristles, and rinse out. This will assist in keeping bristles soft.
